'Romcoms' tend to have a great deal of close up shots in as the director focuses on flirtacious looks from a certain character. As well as this, close up shots of a couple kissing are used to highlight the emotion they are feeling towards each other.
Thrillers:
Camera shots play a major role in the build up of suspense and tension. In some thrillers, the opening sequence and credits of the film, set the tone for the rest of the film as the camera shots and angles are displayed to show something mysterious is taking place.
